During its recent Chapter Meeting held on Monday 14 May at IMEX 2018 in Frankfurt, the ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter announced the winners of its millennials competition. To enter, millennials from across the UK were asked to detail how they would benefit from attending at the 57th ICCA Congress in Dubai in November 2018.

In a competition that saw a large number of entries, the winner was announced as Lindsay Ackers from Scottish Event Campus Glasgow, who wins free flights and a free registration for the 2018 ICCA Congress.

The runners-up were named as Caitriona Doran from Meet in Ireland and Serena Tallarico from London & Partners, who both win registrations to the 2019 ICCA UK & Ireland Debate in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

During the Chapter Meeting, it was also revealed that ICC Wales will host the 2020 UK & Ireland Chapter Debate.

Diane Waldron, Chair of the ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter commented: “The quality of the entries for the millennials competition was extremely high, as were the submissions to host the 2020 debate. It is great to see so many individuals and organisations wanting to get involved with ICCA on both a Chapter and global level, and I look forward to seeing how Lindsay will benefit from her first time at such a prestigious event. Our annual debate has become a major fixture on the UK meetings industry calendar, and I also look forward to the warm welcome we will undoubtably receive from all the team at the ICC Wales.”
